Eden Prairie is a #BeyondTheYellowRibbon Community.
A Yellow Ribbon Community unites all areas within a community to create a comprehensive network that connects and coordinates agencies, organizations, resources and employers for the purpose of proactively supporting service members and military families within our community.
This is done by:
- Creating awareness through the Yellow Ribbon Community Campaign and synchronizing sustainable community support networks.
- Connecting and coordinating organizations, agencies and companies to provide resources and support to veterans, active service members AND their families.
On November 16, 2013, the City of Eden Prairie was proclaimed a Yellow Ribbon Community. Col James Johnson presented Bob Danielson, Chairman of the Yellow Ribbon Steering committee, with the Proclamation marking Eden Prairie as the 198th Minnesota community to receive this designation. The event was part of Grace Church’s annual “We Salute Our Veterans” program.

Eden Prairie — We want you!
We look to you, our community, to help make this possible. Maybe you’re a vet yourself, or perhaps you know a family with a service member, or even if you are a community member or business owner who just wants to get involved and make a difference — we welcome you.
Our organizational committee meets at 6:15 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at the Eden Prairie City Center, 8080 Mitchell Road. Stop by and see who we are.
Active duty, National Guard, Reserve and Eden Prairie Veterans – Join Us!
We’d love your input. It will help us better serve your needs and help identify military families within the community. Please feel free to join us at the organizational meetings or submit your ideas.
